About us

Since 2009 Winterdyne Commission Modelling has worked on some of the highest quality miniatures in the industry for clients worldwide.  Although we now concentrate exclusively on commercial paintwork we still take customer requests for new products.
Our benchmark for quality is simple – if we wouldn’t use it, we don’t provide it – this applies to everything we do from competition grade or box art paintwork to our growing range of in-house 3d-printed products suitable for 28mm to 32mm wargaming.

Our products

We use FDM machines and very high quality PLA for our in-house 3d printing.
PLA takes superglue (cyanoacrylate) extremely well so there is generally no need to pin small components together.
Some products may require cleanup as a result of the printing process (typically the removal of support material or minor ‘stringing’.
You should use a sharp, new x-acto #11 blade for cleanup for most things. PLA does not respond particularly well to scraping. Shaving is a better technique.
PLA is a relatively hard material at room temperature.  You can file or sand where needed with medium-to-fine grade files and emery paper. Coarse grain tools do not work so well.
We are a licensed merchant and printer for Black Scrolls Games. If there is a BSG product that you’d like that we don’t currently have listed for sale, just let us know by dropping an email to enquiries@winterdyne.co.uk
In addition to this webshop we also trade on eBay [here].
